Cleaning the fountain:
The fountain should be washed once a week with a sponge and mild detergent. You should rinse it thoroughly to remove all detergent.
Cleaning the filter:
Remove the filter from the bottom and wash it, but without using detergent. If the filter contains impurities or other foreign bodies, replace it with another. (The replacement filter is sold separately). Replace the filter every three to four weeks or whenever you see too many foreign bodies (impurities, food remains, hair, etc.). More regular filter replacement may be caused by external agents in the fountain, the quality of the water used or the use of the fountain by more than one animal.
Always follow the instructions for use.
Cleaning the pump:
If you suspect the pump is dirty, open the pump and remove the propeller cover and the propeller. Remove dirt from the propeller and clean the shaft with running water. Be careful when handling the propeller. If the pump is noisy, clean it as described above and fill the fresh water tank with plenty of water so that the pump is completely submerged. The pump should not run dry.
Clean the pump every 4 weeks (minimum), but taking into account the instructions for use.
