Fountain cleaning:
The fountain should be washed once a week with a sponge and mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly to remove all detergent.
Filter cleaning:
Remove the filter from the bottom and wash it, but without using detergent. If the filter contains impurities or other foreign bodies, replace it with another. (Replacement filters are sold separately). Replace the filter every three to four weeks or whenever you see too many foreign bodies (impurities, food debris, hair, etc.). A more regular filter replacement may be caused by external agents present in the fountain, the quality of the water used, or the use of the fountain by more than one animal.
Always follow the instructions for use.
Pump cleaning:
If you suspect the pump is dirty, open the pump and remove the impeller cover and impeller. Remove dirt from the impeller and clean the shaft with running water. Be careful when handling the impeller. If the pump makes noise, clean it as described above and fill the fresh water tank with plenty of water so that the pump is completely submerged. The pump must not run dry.
Clean the pump every 4 weeks (minimum), but taking into account the instructions for use.
