Royal Canin Urinary S/O Moderate Calorie in gravy is a food for adult cats with lower urinary tract disease. Diluted urine decreases the likelihood of struvite and calcium oxalate urolith formation. This food helps to dissolve all types of struvite uroliths, as well as to decrease the concentration of ions that contribute to crystal formation. The moderate calorie content helps to maintain ideal weight.
RECOMMENDED FOR CASES OF:
- Struvite uroliths: dissolution and prevention of recurrence.
- Calcium oxalate uroliths: prevention of recurrence.
- Feline Idiopathic Cystitis (FIC).
NOT RECOMMENDED FOR CASES OF:
- Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD).
- Heart disease (when sodium restriction is the goal).
- Concomitant use of urine acidifying medication.
