Royal Canin VET Urinary S/O Moderate Calorie - Dry food for adult dogs with urinary problems

Royal Canin Urinary S/O Moderate Calorie is specifically formulated to help support dogs with urinary sensitivities such as struvite crystals and stones, and is specifically intended for dogs prone to overeating. This formula helps to dissolve all types of struvite stones that can form in the bladder, and is formulated with a moderate calorie content to help your dog maintain a healthy body weight.

This diet helps to dilute your dog's urine, making the formation of struvite or calcium oxalate stones less likely. This formula contains a low RSS (Relative Supersaturation) to help reduce the concentration of ions that can contribute to crystal formation. Additionally, it also promotes a urinary environment unfavorable to the development of both struvite and calcium oxalate stones.

As part of the ROYAL CANIN® Veterinary Health Nutrition range, it is important that this product is only given to your pet when recommended by a veterinarian. The transition from one diet to another for your pet should be done gradually over a period of 7–10 days. Always follow the correct recommended dose, especially if mixing dry and wet food.

RECOMMENDED FOR CASES OF:

• Struvite uroliths: dissolution and prevention of recurrence.
• Calcium oxalate uroliths: prevention of recurrence.
• Bacterial cystitis: management of secondary struvite crystalluria (associated with appropriate antibiotic therapy).

NOT RECOMMENDED FOR CASES OF:

• Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD).
• Heart disease (when sodium restriction is targeted).
• Concomitant use of urine acidifying medications.
• Growth, gestation, and lactation.
