Royal Canin Giant Puppy is specially formulated to support the nutritional needs of giant breed puppies. This formula is suitable for puppies aged 2 to 8 months, who, as adults, will reach a weight of over 45 kg.
This tailored food contains nutrients to support your giant breed puppy's intense growth period between 2 and 8 months and helps to prevent excessive weight gain. It also contains nutrients such as vitamins C and E, which have been shown to support the development of a healthy immune system in puppies.
Very large dogs have sensitive digestive systems. A combination of beneficial prebiotics (such as FOS, MOS, and beet pulp) and highly digestible proteins helps to support a healthy balance of the intestinal microbiome (gut flora) and digestive health. Additionally, the formula contains specific levels of mineral salts, including calcium and phosphorus, to promote the development of strong, fast-growing bones.
The kibble in this food has also been specially adapted for your puppy's very large jaw, making it easier to grasp and chew.
When your puppy reaches 8 months of age, they will need food specially adapted to meet their nutritional needs as a junior dog. At this stage, you can transition them to Royal Canin Giant Junior food.
