Royal Canin Junior Giant - Dry food for giant breed puppies

Royal Canin Giant Junior is specially formulated to support the nutritional needs of young giant breed dogs. This formula is suitable for dogs aged 8 to 18/24 months, who, as adults, will reach a weight of over 45 kg.

This tailor-made food contains nutrients to support the second growth period of your giant breed junior dog. It contains an adapted protein content to help promote muscle development from 8 to 18/24 months, as well as nutrients such as vitamins C and E which are proven to support the development of a healthy immune system in puppies.

Very large dogs have sensitive digestive systems. A combination of beneficial prebiotics (such as FOS, MOS, and beet pulp) and highly digestible proteins help support a healthy balance of the intestinal microbiome (gut flora) and digestive health. In addition, the formula contains specific levels of minerals, including calcium and phosphorus, to promote the development of strong bones and rapid growth.

The kibble of this food has also been designed to promote a slower eating speed. This is important because giant breed dogs should eat slowly to reduce the risk of bloat and/or gastric torsion.

When your giant breed junior dog reaches 18/24 months, they will need food specially adapted to meet their nutritional needs as an adult. At this stage, you can transition to Royal Canin Giant Adult food.

The daily portion should be divided into at least two meals per day to reduce the risk of gastric dilatation-volvulus.

Dehydrated poultry protein, maize, maize flour, rice, animal fats, wheat gluten*, wheat flour, beet pulp, hydrolysed animal proteins, minerals, soya oil, yeast products, fish oil, fructo-oligosaccharides, psyllium husks and seeds, hydrolysed yeast (source of manno-oligosaccharides and beta-glucans) (0.30%), Schizochytrium sp. algal oil (source of DHA), Yucca schidigera juice, marigold meal, glucosamine from fermentation, hydrolysed cartilage (source of chondroitin).
