Pro Plan Veterinary Diets EN Gastrointestinal is a complete, highly digestible veterinary diet to aid in the nutritional management of chronic gastrointestinal, pancreatic, and hepatic problems (without encephalopathy) in adult dogs and puppies.
Gastrointestinal disorders are often associated with malabsorption and maldigestion. EN Gastrointestinal contains selected, highly digestible ingredients to help reduce the burden on the compromised intestine and help minimize adverse gastrointestinal reactions.
This food is low in fat, which is particularly important for dogs with digestive issues, and contains a type of fat that is easier to digest and absorb (with high levels of medium-chain fatty acids). It also includes soluble fiber (prebiotics) to help promote a healthy intestinal environment.
It is highly palatable, ideal for dogs with intestinal disease, as they usually have a poor appetite.

For dogs over 70 kg: for every additional 5 kg of body weight, offer an additional 35g of dry food.
The recommended period of use is 3 to 12 weeks for the compensation of malabsorption; lifelong in cases of chronic pancreatic insufficiency; and 1 to 2 weeks for the reduction of acute forms of malabsorption, during periods of acute diarrhea and convalescence.
For the compensation of malabsorption, a mixed feeding guide can be applied.
