This product is intended for hand-rearing parrot chicks from the time their pin feathers begin to emerge, particularly those species that require a diet rich in fats, such as Psittacus, Macaws, Poicephalus, etc. This food contains the most appropriate nutrients for these species.
Recommendations
This is a continuation formula. It is usually used from the third week of life when feathers begin to emerge. For younger birds, it is preferable to use early-stage formulas. It is formulated to constitute 100% of the parrot's diet. During the weaning phase, it should be gradually replaced by solid food. Mix with hot water to a concentration of 20 to 25% (similar to the texture of a shaken yogurt).
Once opened, store in a cool, dry place. It is possible to freeze the hermetically sealed product, but it is not advisable to keep it in the refrigerator.
Daily consumption
On average, parrots consume 7 to 10ml of formula per serving per 100g of body weight. It should be provided to chicks in the appropriate quantity and number of feedings for each individual and developmental age. It should be noted that the parrot's crop should be empty before each feeding.
