Pro Plan Veterinary Diets NF Renal Function is a complete dry veterinary diet for the support of renal function in cases of chronic kidney disease. This food contains restricted amounts of phosphorus, as this mineral has been shown to contribute to the progression of the disease.
It also contains restricted amounts of high-quality protein to help minimise toxin formation while helping to maintain muscle mass. Omega-3 fatty acids also help to minimise glomerular hypertension and reduce renal inflammation.
NF Renal Function is not suitable for dogs that require high levels of protein or phosphorus, such as pregnant bitches or growing puppies.
It is recommended to consult a veterinarian before use or before extending the period of use.

For dogs over 70 kg: for every additional 5 kg of body weight, offer an additional 30 g of dry food.
The recommended period of use is initially up to 6 months for chronic kidney disease, up to 6 months for the reduction of urate stone formation, but for life in cases of irreversible uric acid metabolism disorders and initially up to 1 year for the reduction of cystine stone formation.
