Pro Plan Veterinary Diets HA Hypoallergenic is a complete veterinary diet for puppies and adult dogs, formulated for the reduction of ingredient and nutrient intolerances, with hydrolysed protein and selected carbohydrate sources.
Some dogs suffer from food allergies, which can cause skin discomfort and/or digestive upsets. This diet is formulated with a single source of protein and carbohydrates. Additionally, the protein source has been broken down (hydrolysed) into very small components, making them less likely to trigger an allergic reaction.
Hydrolysed diets like this are recognised as suitable for use in elimination diet trials, when the aim is to diagnose (or rule out) a food allergy. During this trial, it is crucial that your dog is fed exclusively with HA Hypoallergenic, that they do not consume any other food or snack for 8 to 10 weeks, and only drink water.
This food is also useful for dogs with severe intestinal disease, such as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), as it is formulated with selected protein sources and is highly digestible.
It is recommended to consult a veterinarian before use or before extending the period of use.

For dogs over 70 kg: for every additional 5 kg of body weight, offer an additional 35 g of dry food.
The recommended period of use is 3 to 8 weeks. If symptoms of intolerance disappear, it can be used indefinitely.
For puppies under 3 months of age, divide the recommended daily allowance into 3-4 moistened meals. After 3 months of age, gradually reduce the amount of added water.
