The Nylabone Moderate range, consisting of chew bones and toys, is ideal for dogs that chew gently and less aggressively. These toys have a delicious and long-lasting flavor that remains throughout the chewing experience. The flavor is not sprayed, dipped, or otherwise applied, so there is no risk of it simply being licked off.
The materials are slightly softer and more flexible than those used in our Extreme bone range, making them gentler on your dog's mouth. With over 50 years of experience in manufacturing chew toys, we have perfected a unique production process that ensures the toys do not splinter. Instead, as they are chewed, they develop a slightly rough surface and small bristles detach from the bone, acting like a mini toothbrush that helps keep your dog's teeth clean and prevents tartar buildup.
If your dog manages to break off small particles from the toy, these should never be larger than a grain of rice and can be naturally eliminated if swallowed, posing no choking hazard.
To rekindle your dog's interest in the toy, simply scrape a portion of the harder, rougher surface to release the flavor again. You can use the same method to revive an old bone and make it appealing once more.
To keep the toy clean, wash it with a brush in warm water, using a mild, non-toxic detergent. Rinse thoroughly.
Regularly check the condition of the toy and ensure it is whole and intact, with no missing parts. Replace it whenever the ends are too worn or when the toy becomes too small to be chewed safely.
