Lactation
During lactation, the food can be administered ad libitum, according to the needs of the mother and the litter.
Directions for use
Administer according to the recommended daily amount in the table, taking into account the age and expected adult weight of the dog.
To facilitate ingestion, especially in dogs with a reduced appetite or during the transition from milk to solid food, the kibble can be rehydrated with warm water. Add the amount of water to the measured dry food, mix and wait about 20 minutes before serving. Confirm that the temperature is not too high before offering it to the dog.
The transition from one diet to another should be done gradually over a period of 7 to 10 days.
Fresh water should always be available.
Mixed feeding
ROYAL CANIN® Gastrointestinal Puppy is also available as wet food, with an ultra-soft mousse texture.
Mixed feeding provides the dog with a greater variety of textures and can help stimulate the appetite. The wet food has a more intense aroma and a high moisture content, contributing to hydration, while the dry food is easy to chew.
Important note
This product is part of the ROYAL CANIN® Veterinary Health Nutrition range and should be administered only under the recommendation of a veterinarian.
