How does it work?
In a natural environment, puppies and adult dogs are together and exchange natural messages in the air - pheromones. These calming messages are secreted by mothers during nursing and also through the ear area in adult dogs.
ADAPTIL transmits this calming and reassuring pheromone to your dog, which we cannot transmit, helping to improve their well-being and adapt to stressful situations.
How long does it take to see results?
Many dog owners start seeing results within seven days. However, every dog is unique. Depending on how long the signs have been present and their severity, it may take longer to improve.
We recommend using the ADAPTIL Calm diffuser for at least one month.
How long should I use the ADAPTIL Calm diffuser?
Most dogs will benefit from continuous use of the ADAPTIL Calm diffuser to create a calm environment at home. Avoid plugging the diffuser under shelves, behind doors, curtains or furniture, in very ventilated areas or into multiple sockets or extension cords, as this can affect its effectiveness.
Ensure constant comfort for your dog by using an ADAPTIL Calm Refill every month. The diffuser should be checked monthly and replaced every 6 months to ensure optimal effectiveness.

...your dog's problems are not stress-related; the ADAPTIL Calm diffuser will not be able to help.

...your dog's problems are due to a lack of exercise or training, such as hyperactivity or overexcitement; ADAPTIL will not help.

...your dog does not have enough stimulation in its environment; ADAPTIL will not help.
- ...if your dog eliminates indoors in inappropriate places due to lack of training or for medical reasons; ADAPTIL will not help. It is essential to consult a veterinarian to rule out possible medical problems.
ADAPTIL will not help and should never be used in cases of aggression towards people or other dogs and puppies. In this case, we strongly recommend that you consult a veterinarian or a behavioural specialist.
